• since 1994 Lecturer in Semiconductor Technology, Components, and Circuits for Communication Systems, RWTH Aachen University
• since 1997 AIXTRON, Herzogenrath (currently Vice President Advanced Technologies)
• 2002–2025 President of the DGKK German Society for Crystal Growth and since 2026 Board Member
• 2007–2013 Board Member of EPIC (European Photonic Industry Consortium)
